Today was the annual Blacktown City Festival. Another magnificent day put on by Blacktown City Council.
I arrived just after 9am and it was already buzzing, the music was loud the stall holders were chatty, and the coffee was hot and ready to go.
I wandered around looking at things and photographing while waiting for the parade to start. Just about every known religion was represented (well almost) The zumba people had me exhausted just watching them. I loved the costumes and the effort people had gone to for this festival. There was something for everyone, including antique fire engines. Cars for the guys, you name it was there. What a great day
What a diverse multicultural place we live, so many different nationalities, so many different things to look at, so many new things to learn from each other.
Great job Blacktown City Council. Can’t wait for next year.
